Corsendonk Pater Dubbel is a brown beerknown as an Abbey Beer. It is bottle conditioned, and benefits from an extended period of maturation between being bottled and put on the shelves. Like its siblings, it is unusual in that there is no label on the bottle, the label being replaced in this case by a silk-screen printed image on a religious theme.
This Corsendonk Pater Dubbel with its strongly malted taste has a flowery and slightly tart attack. This is followed by a medium and quite persistent bitterness, with delicate hints of toasted malts and fruity notes emerging on the finish. Serve as an aperitif with the cheese of the same name!
